Courier for seat from Oxford to N.E.? (beer money on offer)
DarrenW - 3/2/11 at 09:03 AM

I won a lightweight Cobra bucket seat on Ebay last night. Need to get it from Oxford area (awaiting address from vendor) to Bishop Auckland near Durham. Who would you recommend as a courier? Ive tried getting a quote online (parcel 2 go) but if you put the approx seat dimensions in it calculates the price based on a cube and hence comes out expensive.

I dont suppose anyone drives between Oxford and North and fancies a bit of pocket money do they? Im in Sheffield through the week (5 mins off M1) or Bishop at weekends.

Cheers,
Darren.

I work near Oxford and travel up to Newcastle for work a fair bit - depends how quick you want the seat, as I've not got a trip booked in at the moment, but expecting one fairly soonish.....

Give me a shout if you need me

Cheers

Vince

Im not in any great hurry to be honest Vince so that might work out great. Im going to send cash down too so that will take a few days anyway.

I dont have the address yet so will let you know.

Im turning the seat into a gaming chair for the kids. Im on look out for a cheap harness to complete the look as well.

For the kids! ... big kid methinks!

How you doing Darren? I'm sat on me ass most days if you need anything picking up at this end.

Vince ive just sent you U2U.

The postcode for seat collection is OX4 4XU (Sandford on Thames) if anybody is close to there.

Is there anyone else near Oxford that could collect the seat for me just in case Vinny cant do it?
The seller has given me 2 locations (one is where he works) - Towns are Cowley and Sandford-On-Thames.

I dont expect there will be many people who are travelling up North, but worst case hopefully someone who can drop it off so parcel force or similar can get it up. Im assuming a lightweight race seat can be transported via post office of course.

Seat is a lightweight fixed back cobra with a pair of lightweight brackets.

Im tempted to drive down and get it, but being 300 mile round trip from where i work in Sheffield (midweek) im just looking at other options first.

Thanks in advance,
Darren.
