Just looked on autodata and just says dot 4. No capacity! Normally they are around .5 litres.

I don't think I've ever seen a brake fluid capacity liste for anything. Usualy 1/2lt...ish, but it depends how much you bleed through.

500ml should do it provided you have no problems bleeding it.

cheers everyone

I've got a 500ml bottle of super 4 (the stuff ford sell for the car) somewhere - might pick up another one before I start just incase...

If you are changing the fluid buy a Turkey Baster out of Sainsburys and suck as much of the fluid out the resevoir before you start.

Waiting for the turkey baster one liners.

^^ I'm changing the front calipers, flexables and some of the hard pipes too so I'm going to loose alot - add to that the fluid is bound to be at least 5 years old and its not going to be worth trying to save any of the old stuff

I've actually got some old metal syringes so no need for turkey basters.....

To keep the master cylinder primed, top up the master cylinder to the brim then seal the over the open top of the reservoir with cling film held on tightly with a rubber band to form a a perfect seal this will stop fluid loss when you disconnect the pipes.
