Evenin all, I posted a week or so ago asking if anybody local has a diagnostic scanner that will reset the airbag light on a 1997 BMW Z3. I had no
luck there but it was suggested I get myself an Autel 702 scanner which will read and reset just about everything on the car but at 150 quid to buy
one isn't gonna happen just yet. I have already got an OBD interface for the laptop and I got a BMW adapter cable off ebay this week (OBD 16pin
to BMW round 20 pin) and using EASYOBDII software I am able to communicate with the car even though its pre 2001. I can read and reset MIL codes and
view live data ect . But the software wont do anymore than that.
So before I throw a few quid at some dodgy bloke selling copies of software on ebay I was wondering if anybody has or knows where I can download some
software that at the very least would allow me to reset this bloody light. It would be a bonus if it would also reset the service lights as ive just
given the car a service.
Heres hoping
Cheers
Russ
I think you might be able to find it, it's just a case of seaching though "Torrentz" of results till you find it ;-)
Searching torrents for what software name though??
you can buy carsoft 6.5 off ebay with the correct leads for about £40
Ive already got the lead. Its just an obd interface and the adaptor for using on olders car which were built before obd2 became law in 2001 on
petrols.
Its just the specific software i need. Ive used this before on an mg we had and it works great .
