Arm restraints TRS
AdrianH - 10/3/11 at 12:17 PM

I purchased a set of TRS arm restraints for use in the car, but I'm confused as how to fit and use. I have a 4 point harness, the arm restraints have a small loop in the adjustable strap.
Do I need to fit the loops near the adjusters, or fit over buckles. Also do the restraints go around elbow or wrist area's?

If anyone has a picture showing how fitted would appreciate it.

They generally fit buy puuting the little loop you mention over the metal eye before you clip it into the buckle.

did they not come with any fitting guide?

as already mentioned, you put the adjustable loops around your wrists and thread the waist strap through the other loops before you clip the buckles. Just make sure you leave them long enough to reach the starter button!!

As above for fitting - just remember you want them to come loose with the seatbelts! I used to wear mine around the lowest point of the upper arm (just above the elbow) . This was the shortest length of strap so they didn't get caught on anything but still restrained the arms enough to stop them flying out.

I stopped wearing them when I moved to the single seater as there was no room inside to put them on or for my arms to fly out! http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/gallery/2newdash.jpg

Thanks for the responses, looking at trying a RWYB for fun and you need them for open top cars.

Once again thanks all.
