Volunteers sought for Model T on Ben Nevis effort
Volunteers have been sought to dismantle a vintage car and reassemble it on the summit of Ben Nevis.
The effort will be held during a week-long Model T Ford rally in Lochaber in May.
Landscape conservation charity, the John Muir Trust, which owns the mountain, have agreed to allow the Model T Ford on the peak.
In 1911, a Model T was driven to the summit in a publicity stunt by a Ford selling agents in Edinburgh.
To commemorate the event, a car will be dismantled at Achintee, near Fort William, and the parts carried to the summit before being taken apart again.
I reckon I'm the best car-stripper in Scotland... not so hot at the re-assembly bit though!
Can I bring my own grinder... I love that tool!
but why not just drive it up like before?? there's a T in Aberdeen that is 99 years old and unretored and drives just fine! quite a few others too just amazing to see these cars
