Peeved off. Found an early Series 3 landy for a project for a ton - just what I wanted.
Only it happens to be in Ayr - lovely part of the world, I'm sure - but 350 miles from the Cotswolds. And I wouldn't want to pay more than
double the cost of the car for getting it to my house.
Oh well..
be prepared for very rusty chassis, I've had 4 landys over the years and every one of them needed a new rear section
tbh 90's are far better allround, better ride and more powerful. The bulkheads are almost always very very rusty too
yep, Ayr = salty!
i'm almost tempted though... lol
Would've banged it on a new galv one. Tax exempt it was too!
I've had a Series 2a so am fairly used to dealing with them.
Incidntally it's now gone. Not surprising it didn't last given the price - I even asked the seller whether he was joking or not and he was
totally genuine just wanted rid of it.
well if I'd had the money at the time I'd have fitted a galvanized chassis. There's still loads of them about, up here anyway and I think my old ones are still on the road. I just got fed up with their poor reliability and the fact that everything weighs a ton when working on them, I’m sure it did my back in. Seemed to be forever replacing propshafts too
