In Brundles article about the Melbourne race he says this:
"McLaren chairman Ron Dennis handed David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan some humble pie live on the BBC show"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/12880809.stm
I missed this and would like to see what was said. Anyone know what program it was during? Post qualifying- presumably? Pre or post race?
Just wondering what program to watch on Iplayer (if I still can!).
Thanks!
James
I think it's metaphoric. The car was much better than anyone ( inc Coulthard and Jordan) was expecting given previous trials and times. So he handed them a "piece of humble pie" on race day.
As above it was a post race interview outside mclaren

Erm.... yes... thankyou! I realise he didn't actually give them a pie!!!
Hi James
He did give them pie each on a plate, live on tv. I have it on the hard disk I think.
James
I meant metaphoric as in the track performance " showed them doubters what was what". i fhe did serve them pie good on him and his sense of
humour.
Anyone got a link to it??
