Got my new car

I drove all the way to Swansea today to go and view the car.

Externally its pretty much spotless. Its had a complete respray recently in the last few years. Not to cover anything up other than faded red paint, the panels are all straight and rust free. As is the underneath.

Needs the strips at the bottom of the windows replacing as they have fallen apart with age. They only clip on though.

The interior needs a tidy up, again nothing that wouldnt be expected for a 16 year old car really. General wear and tear. All the bits are cheap and over the next few months I will gradually tidy everything up and get it into something a lot tidier

The good bit is mechanically everything works and it drives nicely, although I think it would benefit from a 4 wheel alignment at some point.

Its quick enough to keep me amused, and has serious amounts of grip around corners and roundabouts!

On my not so steady run home (staying under 85 though) and some heavy accleration in places it averaged 27mpg. Which is around what I expected more or less. Though putting £80+ worth of 97ron in after picking it up hurt my wallet a bit

So overall, I am pretty happy with it, needs some work to bring it to my standards, but theres some of the fun

Yep, the only issue is the drivers door mirror doesnt work, passenger one does though. Absolutely everything else works though

The electronic suspension is impressive, tour mode is softer than the leon, making it very comfy long distance (260miles without stopping no problem). Sports mode stiffens it all up, implements anti dive and anti squat and adaptive roll so it stays absolutely flat through corners.

Ill post some better pics once I have started to tidy it up.

First job is a full service, change all the fluids, plugs, belts and filters as I dont have any service history with it (nothing unusual for a Jap import though.

Its done ~59k miles (showing 95k km on the odo)
