LMAO,

just need to wait for Stonleigh for more vinyl then I can make one for the other side

DRC INDY 7 - 25/4/11 at 07:22 PM

MMMMMMMMMMMM bloody rain might have to put my order in for 2

austin man - 25/4/11 at 07:30 PM

it comes to my shoulder and has the fibreglass pole in the top mounted ito the dash and ally trim giving a slight arc away from the driver, so all being well will stop the water from the front wheel hitting my arm .

Would you like some Carbon effect vinyl to compliment your shroud and handbrake?

deltron63 - 25/4/11 at 07:38 PM

A sheet?

I think (hope) you've misunderstood - I'm talking Vinyl the material, not the 3M Dynoc stuff that people stick all over the place

Kwik - 25/4/11 at 07:54 PM

as mythbusters proved, if you drive at 120mph in the rain with no roof (or with the roof down) rain will just fly right over you, so just drive fast

Im talking the 3m stuff lol seemed like a good idea at the time, wish I could afford real Carbon fibre I was toying with making the sides with a solid product , but used what I had.

got a bit wet on Saturday on the way back from Cadwell on Saturday not from the rain coming down but from the road spray

sure is a damn fine gearknob This is my MK1 version Need to hone the sewing skills LOL I will no doubt be making more will be at Stonleigh on Monday Camping Sunday night if you want to have a look at them will be on or around the MK stand.

AdrianH - 25/4/11 at 09:35 PM

I like the idea of the semi side door you have done. Seen one very similar at Stonleigh last year they used one of the plastic covered wire that are used in net curtains etc, allows it to bend and flex as you move your arm around.

I'll be next door to the MK stand. See you there, can hardly wait

austin man - 25/4/11 at 09:45 PM

By using a fibreglass pole longer than the apeture in whichit fits is automatically creates a curvature taking the screen away from the elbow, should have taken a shot from the top to show it

Coozer are you there on Monday then ? we are at Mallory on Sunday watching Danny K race then driving to Stonleigh from there

coozer - 25/4/11 at 09:49 PM

Going down Saturday and staying 2 nights

austin man - 26/4/11 at 01:54 PM

top view showing the arc that the tent pole creates leaving a little bit of elbow room and maintaining tension in the vinyl hopefully reducing any flapping
