Tin top graphics insurance premium hike?
coyoteboy - 28/4/11 at 02:15 AM

As I'm struggling to match colours on some panel resprays I'm doing I'm contemplating full rally-rep graphics instead. Anyone any experience of adding graphics to their tin-top insurance costs?

On Gocompare you can ad that as a modification, for me it added about 20 quid to an £800ish premium when I was mucking about.

That said along time ago I asked my driving instructer if they needed to be declared and she said she personally would bother.

Why don't you get a paid to display wrap.
They wrap your car and pay you to display it.
Google it and see

Does that make it a business insurance then? Will I be advertising mates super-small condoms? Off to google.

I'll get nothing out of it then, just not worth while!

All one colour would probably go down as a temporary colour change and not attract a large hike?

I've always wondered what colour you put down in the v5? if it's a picture...

Well the V5 on my car says it's blue, most people call it silver and my insurance says silver. It's moonshine blue on the documentation.

My other car is white. It's currently about 4 sodding shades of white because no-one can match the original white.
