Can anyone help me with getting the code for a Vauxhall CDR 500 CD/ Radio I have got it as a replacement to fit in my Astra I thought the code was written on it but its not!!!!

well its been a while but there are a few things to try.

For starters im sure you only get a number of trys before its locked out.

If the radio has been coded which many old radios have then it could be 1234, 9999 or the last 4 digits of the serial number. Finally my local radio guy always used used the same number to reset to. That was 1981. Last of all its a decode for about 25 quid.
