Might be legal.

I think you can rebody a chassis without IVA. and keep the donar ID.
This may apply here. Still would do some serious checks before buying it.

But there are some replicas I would not have, and that is one of them.

It's the "lovely lambo" and having to either explain "It's a kit car bla bla bla" or being so sad , and just pretent it's real.

Only reps. that seem ok are the oldies , like 7's, Cobra's etc

I'd say that it would definatly need an SVA , as at present it's not registered .

I would have thought it was a re-bodied Pontiac Fiero rather than a Bonneville.

I didn't see it in the ebay thing but I was also under the impression it would be based on a Fiero and thus mid engined with a body kit. The car is LHD, if you were going to to just use the running gear you'd build it in RHD surely so I don't think theres anything dodgy going on.
