I want to try out my powder coating kit it says i need 1kg of air to project the powder what i need to now is what that is in psi/lbs please.

1 Kg/cm is 0.98 bar or 14.22psi after a quick google
Depends what the Kg is over, cm^2, m^2. Without that it's a guess.

Isn't it a straight PSI/BAR conversion?
No. Kg is mass, PSI is pressure (force per area). The assumption made above is that the required unit is something like Kg/cm^2. But without knowing what the area unit is, cm^2, m^2 etc, it's not possible to convert it.
My home powder coating kit instruction says it needs a working air pressure range of0.5kg to 1.2 kg 1 kg is recommended that's all I have to go by?
I'd guess it's kg/cm2 as m2 is 1000x larger, thus the pressure would be 1000x less?
So you're talking 14.22 psi or 0.0014 (almost a vacuum?)
