Hi all my tin top water stinks i have washed the container out lots and lots with a hose pipe 2-3 days later its back to stinking
has anyone got any ideas what i can put in the water to stop this
I was thinking of something like Milton the stuff you clean babes milk bottles with
What do you all think ?
ps I think it would be a big job to remove the water bottle

are you using a high quality screen wash additive ? My van use to stink of wee when I washed the screen.Cheap Halfords screen wash was to blame.Just a thought

try milton in your washer bottle run it through the pipes and leave it to stand a few day's,, same principle as flushing caravan water pipes

Chemical smell or fungal smell ?

If the later, I would be tempted to flush everytihng through with bleach as that kills mould growth.
(After having temporarily detached the feed pipes to the nozzles and routing them to somewhere safe of course.)

If chemical, I guess you need to work out what it is first.

Be careful, there was an issue with legionella in washer bottles

I'd also recommend a decent washer fluid - we use Decosol, which is basically industrial meths with added detergent. It always seems to work properly without any strange smells.

Milton would disinfect, but I dont no how much it would actively clean, it may be better to try some bleach?

Common problem , I would try flushing the washer bottle with hot water followed by some water purifier available from any caravan accessory shop . Might be a bit better than Milton's ?

Bruclenz used by home brewers cleans brilliantly.

I was amased when i replaced the pumps on the cinqecento botlle the the remaiing water and sludge basically smelt like sewage
Wahed our well aand bleached it to kill it
