Mobile Elevated Work Platforms

Anyone aware of a machine or system which can lower the work platform below the level where the MEWP is?
IE for working on the underneath of elevated road ways or bridges?

Yes, this is where I get my access equipment from.

AJ Access

Give them a ring, if I understand your question right, any cherry picker should do?

No most cherry pickers won't go down below their base.

That's into special equipment.

I'm on a "boom" at the moment and it won't go very far past it's base.

I've never found a MEWP that can reach under itself. Even Genie Z series are limited to ground level works.

However facelift do a specific range of machines for this sort of work?

However I suspect they are not cheap.

Could you get a machine with a long reach from below?

I've operated spiders with a 32m outreach?

Facelift have the ones for working over the side of bridges and back under the deck.

I've seen lorry mounted working platforms on the m2 bridge. But it was the only one I've ever seen come back under itself or below it's base.

It had special out riggers etc etc

Just found a Genie Boom that can get you 10 foot below GL, but that is only any good if you don't have to reach over barriers etc. Plus it's only going to get you to the side, rather than fully underneath something.

This might work linky, problem is it over water so can't really get at from below without working from a barge

Thanks chaps for all the suggestions, good work
