Yesterday, I drove from Dulwich to North London via Vauxhall, Park Avenue and Camden.
I may have strayed into the Congestion Charge Area but I'm not sure.
I found the TFL site where you can pay the Congestion Charge on line and paid it anyway, just in case.
But is there any way you can check on line whether you did actually stray into the CC area and owe them money ?
I could always wait for the PCN I suppose
sign posts and road markings are pretty clear i thought? that was when if first started though.
huge red C's across the whole lane for example
best way is too look at the map below,
congestion zone map
And if your still not sure, then its up to you, but I would pay. There are camera's everywhere on the way in and out of the zones as well as
bl$$dy great big red "C" painted on the road, so you should know!
Part of the route was a huge diversion at Vauxhall and with kamikaze drivers coming from all directions in the rush hour at Hyde Park Corner I could
easily have mssed the CC signage. You can't see anything painted on the road when traffic is nose-to-tail.
It would just be nice to be able to check in to TFL and have them say " Yeah mate, you owe us £10 "
Looking at your map, Andy W, I think I may have wasted 10 quid

Trouble is they don't send a "you owe us £10" reminder, they just fine you £50. It should be well sign-posted but it isn't. If you go to Westfield via the westway it's quite easy to go into the zone for about 100m without seeing any signs and get a big fat fine for the privelage.... Grrrrrr.
