Mr Smooth

He's a great ambassador for F1 and british sport.

I was also surprised at how Hamilton handled himself post race - he displayed a good deal of sporting grace, humility and maturity IMHO. All the more better that he not only said he apologises to DiResta, but clearly going and doing so straight away (though Daddy Hamilton might have had something to do with that)

Great race.

A drying / changeable track really is Jenson's forte!

Boring Button!

theres nothing like a spoiler in the title!

Button had some good luck today, but for a twist of fate he would have been in first and he too might have chosen the wrong tyre. Hamilton had the better drive, just unfortunate that he got caught out - easily done as the first man into a wet corner.

JB is very smooth and very fast, but only when the car is pretty much perfect. I prefer to watch LH as he will drive the wheels off any car whether its perfect for him or not.
JB slightly annoys me when the car isnt perfect as he tends to winge a little. Id rather him just say, I wasnt quick enough today, its alwahys WE werent quick enough!

Id hardly say hes a great role model, (better than 99.9% of footballers etc) but there are better people in generally society that should be idolised over highly paid sports men and women!

Too True, everyone at work who has spent time with him says he is a great guy, really nice and very professional. The swear filter on the other hand will filter out what most of the staff have said about Hamilton, although the man can drive.

blakep82 - 31/7/11 at 10:07 PM

come on, we've all seen that head and shoulders advert right?!

Peteff - 31/7/11 at 10:55 PM

Anybody with a moon named after them must be good Hamilton is more interesting though

scootz - 1/8/11 at 10:49 AM

I always find Button quite entertaining whenever he's interviewed. Intelligent, articulate and occasionally cheeky (particularly if DC's around).

Hamilton bores the baps off of me! He's rarely got anything interesting to say and even when he moans, it's not fightin-talk moaning, it's Mansell-esque!

Maybe having an earring, a gnome-style beard and the ability to say 'frickin' with a straight face is what passes as cool these days!
