i need crank oil seals for my new toy and i begrudge paying £27 for a rear main seal when i can prob get the same thing for £1 from a bearing centre,so does anyone know where i can get the seal sizes from before i take the engine out and strip it down?

it,s for a 1991 MX5 1600 with the long nosed crank

'Standard' oil seals probably won't be suitable for the surface speeds involved in an engine, so it may be cheap but you could end up doing it again after a short time, sorry.
