Speeding Offence - Get Off
perksy - 16/7/12 at 08:56 PM

Steve Coogan found not guilty of speeding

So was he driving or wasn't he ? and did he give up the person that was ? How come he forgot who was in the first place ?
and did he have the famous folks favourite solicitor representing him ?

What would be the chance on one of us winning this one ?

i guess if you say it wasnt you driving they have to resort to court to resolve it?

His defence is that he couldnt work out who was driving the car. Totally unbelieveable. I had assumed that if you didnt name a driver you just got shafted yourself.

They should investigate him just like they have chris huhne.

John terry got off on an inspired creative defence. You have to hand it to his lawyer there. I personally dont doubt he said it, but then, name calling isnt the pinacle of racism.

That defence only seems to work once. A bloke i used to work routinely claimed his car was being driven by a non UK resident when caught speeding. It sadly did not end well for him. A really nice bloke too who should just have stuck to the straight and narrow:
