Just an up front mention to raise some interest, next year we will be hosting an open day and car show on the farm near Hinckley in Leicestershire
where we are based.
There will be an informal "show and shine" type of event in the field surrounding the lake, an autojumble in the main yard and an "open
workshop" for part of the day, possibly with some demonstrations depending on interest and whether I can think of some good stuff to watch!!
(I'm thinking of getting Stu to make some sheet metal bits on the Pullmax in front of an audience, he'll love that!!)
Needless to say, there will also be food and refreshments, something along BBQ or hog roast lines, and plenty of liquid refreshments!!
The "show field" is a lovely spot for a get together, parking in a big oval round the lake!
The autojumble will contain plenty of junk (as they usually do!!), and visitors will be welcome to put their own items on display for sale.
This will not be a locost or se7enesque event but more an "interesting old cars" gathering, where any car is welcome as long as its not
boring!! a chance for a chat in the (hopefully!!!!!) sun, and a nosey round our workshop to see a few works in progress.
In terms of dates, nothing is fixed yet, needless to say it will be in the summer, and it won't clash with to many other important things in the
motoring calendar!! We will publish dates once we have consulted the crystal ball and found out which day it won't be raining!!
Thanks
Nat, Cal and the Retropower team!!
