Tin top help

Mate at work has a Picasso with possible clutch problem.
The gears engage fine , but as soon as any pressure is applied to the clutch pedal, it sounds like a bag of loose spanners from the engine bay.
Any ideas fellas before he scraps it.
Thanks in advance.
Brad.

Clutch release bearing.

Release bearing on most PGA vehicles is under sized for the job it has to do and the clips that locate it on the fork are puny, eventually it will break up completely how long is anybodies guess anywhere from 5 to 5,000 miles but the clutch will have to be changes sooner rather than later.
