Are there any Volvo lovers out there? im looking for information about the B234 DOHC engine, aparently the heads can be bolted to the pinto block with
some small modications, potential for some good power me thinks with the right combination of kit?
Anyone thought about it?

i have read some articles now that indicate the "americans" use the the old 2.3 litre Lima (american pinto) block with the head from a Volvo
B234F engine to make some pinto monsters! floating figures of in and around 250-300 bhp naturally aspirated so i thought it might be worth a shot on a
"test engine"
i've heard the Swede's make some great rally engines with the combination, the low compression of the 2.3 lima block opens up the door into
hair dryer territory but you can also swop the pistons and rods out to make high compressions rockets!
have a look at a company called Esslinger Engineering "LINK HERE" they're based in
California.
i'm still digging for information at the moment.

is the lima the same as a pinto (engine) or was the lima the engine that went in the ford pinto (car)?
