looks fine to me, but that step is going to mash up my front end if i hit the tunnel at any speed

steve m - 13/2/13 at 02:45 AM

Jon

could of been worse, as they could of put a zebra crossing in, instead

ReMan - 13/2/13 at 07:15 AM

Thats horrid!
And looks like its been dropped there and nailed down by some cowboy builder!

yellowcab - 13/2/13 at 07:37 AM

Looks horrendous!!!

MK9R - 13/2/13 at 07:56 AM

Cant see the problem myself, at least it makes getting across the track simple, rather than having to run across the circuit between races.

MikeRJ - 13/2/13 at 08:16 AM

The most charitable description I can think of is "functional". A more accurate one would be "hideous eyesore".

40inches - 13/2/13 at 08:26 AM

They could have bought the Dunlop Bridge from Donnington, for a few hundred quid, a few months ago

Peteff - 13/2/13 at 08:41 AM

You'll not notice it when it's got a few stickers artfully applied

CNHSS1 - 13/2/13 at 09:34 AM

+1 once its sponsored by Manky-Kang Ditchfinder 3000 supertyres itll be fine and allow all ones fan club to flood into the infield to watch us making fools of ourselves lol

roadrunner - 13/2/13 at 10:12 AM

It would have been a lot better if you could have stood on the bridge to watch the races.

Ninehigh - 13/2/13 at 10:36 AM

It looks photoshopped on to me!

Some nob would have to spit on one of the racers (or worse)

Bridges on race circuits are always covered for this reason AFAIK. Unfortunately there are plenty of imbeciles happy to lob things onto the track (or jump onto it), and making the bridge sides solid also stops ignorant people congregating on it during a race and blocking access for people wishing to cross.

Peteff - 13/2/13 at 11:58 AM

Here you are Jon, better already

Grimsdale - 13/2/13 at 12:41 PM

where's the triangulation?!

Jon Ison - 13/2/13 at 03:25 PM

Cheers Pete, looks an eyesore in my humble opinion, running across the track was always more fun, its going to restrict viewing also by the looks of it.

yellowcab - 13/2/13 at 05:55 PM

I checked this out on my phone, and couldn't believe it - hoping it was a photoshop...

Having now looked on my computer - I'm gobsmacked.

Clearly function over form, and I suppose anything prettier would have hiked their trackday prices up - so it's a lose lose from their point of view.

Really wouldn't have taken much to make it a little more pleasing on the eye though.

I predict a Riot - 13/2/13 at 07:05 PM

Long, long overdue

At times this year the crossing was closed to the public. It's a bloody long walk around as this is the only crossing place on the circuit.

But most importantly - where they hell did they get a container that long!!!
