any vauxhall experts on here?
of anyone that knows and understands the immobilisers on an 03 corsa ?
What's the problem?
No expert, but would help if you described the problem?
Imobiliser or remote unlocking problem the Key fobs are notorious
only got the one immobiliser key, and am a tight arse.....
do the immobiliser bits in the key come out the same as a ford one (ie without breaking)
or if i get an old but the same type of key from a scrappy can i get the imobiliser part reprogrammed and then use a normal shop cut key ?????
or......... is there a way of turning it off ?
,
Imobilser is coded to the ECU, the transponder pickup and the key, so (unless you pay (I assume lots) to have them recoded) if you need to replace one part, you have to replace all 3.
If the car is still mobile, there is a very good automotive key cutter in Coventry, Eydens, they can do wondrous
things with new keys and fobs, and their prices are very good. I got a SEAT spare key cut and coded to the car for about £60, SEAT were quoting closer
to £150.
I don't know whether they'd actually disable the alarm for you, but at least they might be able to offer advice.
