Kinda self steering

Ok I've decided that this isn't the road, or that it's me but I'm stumped as to what to check or even if it's an issue

When taking right turns at a decent pace (say 35-55mph, and no I'm not caning it into corners) there's a... moment... It's like halfway through the corner I hit a slight dip, the left side feels like it drops a little and turns into the corner a touch more. Then as I come out of the bend I can feel it "move back"

I've given the whole car a damn good shaking and I can't see anything move, wobble or flex, nothing seems out of place or broken. I've been noticing it for about 6 weeks now.

Any ideas? Could this signify something (or nothing) or is it a common thing with a 206?

A shake by even the studiest of blokes does nothing to replicate the kgs of load transfer a bushe is subjected to. Take it to a garage as most pneumatic wobble plates to recreate (ish) road stresses.

I've had a lower ball joint with play give this effect.

I had a similar thing with an escort mk6. On checking underneath I found the bolts holding the wishbones were loose (front bolt on both sides). After retightening them, problem went. So another session underneath to replace the nuts and bolts with new ones and now it's ready to take le mans. lol

Just had a memory flash. I seem to remember 206's having issues with the rear axle beam or mounts? Worth a look.

Yeah had to replace the ex's 106 rear beam...

Looks like I'm getting underneath then

Thanks for the quick replies

Sounds like a front outer lower ball joint to me.
