As per title really, F1 Qualifying has apparently been delayed until 11:00am Sunday Morning (Midnight our time as far as I can work out) due to rain and failing light.
Failing light ? Can't they afford a new bulb
Didn't even think it was that bad. They race in far worse so why can't they qualify in it. Got myself out of bed for nothing!
Glad I didn't get up now.
Probably cancelled because Vettel wasn't looking forward to a wet session
anyone hazard a guess on what they are going to be showing on the BBC's "qualifying highlights" this afternoon then?
Meteorological documentary on the rainy season in Oz?
I though these were supposed to be the best drivers in the world?
My daughter sent me this brief video from the trackside in Oz this morning...
If you listen to the engines you can just make out the traction control taking control and limiting the revs...

F1 hasn't used TC since 2008 ( when it was banned) what you are hearing is the drivers leg doing the work, just as it should be in my view.
No, I agree as well car racing should be just that, racing a car with just the skill of the driver keeping him on track, some of the current rules are
stupid, but for the mostpart it has in the last few years closed the grid up somewhat. I don't follow F1 in the same way I did back in the
80's or 90's but I always watch the first round just to see what the cars are like.
I also agree with Doctor Derick, whilst the likes of Stirling Moss would no doubt disagree, safety does have to come first, I watched the support
races before they started Qually, and even the tintops were struggling in the (at that time) very much drier conditions, but watching Lowdnes sideways
everywhere is always good fun.

This has no place on here!! But, I suppose it's typical.
How many years did you race? I did 22, 12 in clubs, 10 in single seat.
When I thought it was too wet for me in qualifying I didn't go out, and started from the back!!

Seems like it's all getting a bit out of hand here! I thought this was suppose to be a friendly forum guys? Everyone is entitled to their oppinions though i guess!!!!
You lot should watch Indycar then, over there they won't even start a race until they've sucked all the water from the road
