I'm after some general non-specific oil, for all those jobs that needs a bit of lube but don't need anything fancy (door hinges, tool
protection etc). I used to have a tin of 3 in 1, but that's now ran out and it's replacement is £4. That seems a little high for the
quantity that's in the tin.
What would be a good alternative? Would supermarket brand engine oil do a similar job? Or perhaps 2 stroke oil? Even a tin of plusgas seems better
priced than 3 in 1!
I'm addicted to Q20 - lubricates, cleans, polishes and protects all in on - proper snake juice.
Has a swivel head and maybe an extension tube.
Does everything WD40 does and more i.e. proper waterproof.
Should be available on-line at c.£5.
HTH.
Cheers, Pewe10

£4 seems a bit steep. I'm sure I've seen it at £1.79 down the discount tooly place. But even at £4, it does seem to last forever!

I use whatever the bargain shop or market has in at the time, it's usually under £1 a can and does the same as 3 in 1.
