Hi there i have a mate thats trying to change the alternator on their 2006 corolla, they have got it removed from the engine but can work out how to
get it out the engine bay, it has to go out the bottom as theres definatley not enough room out the top, however it would seem the driveshaft may have
to be removed? Anyone ever removed the alternator that could offer a suggestion?
Cheers Greg
What engine is in it? As the vvti's have them on the top in front of the engine.
Rob
sorry i didnt make that very clear
the alternator is at the back of the engine on this model
ill try and find out the engine
Yes I understood your post but was trying to think what engine has the alternator at the back. As I said the vvti are usually at the top front. Is it
a diesel?
Rob
Give me the exact engine and I will ask the lads on Monday morning, check out my [www]!
