Hi Makeevrything

have you seen this?

https://www.facebook.com/MarcosCarsLtd?fref=ts

it look like a slightly modified version of what you have.

I will let Rich know about the facebook link, he will definately be interested :-)

He has been busy doing army stuff lately so doesnt get on here much.

Cheers for the heads up, it looks almost identical with some subtle modern changes, very tidy.

I agree it looks nice but nothing like a Marcos.

I can't believe that it is anything to do with the original marcos company.

in fact http://www.marcos-eng.com/index.html

I wonder how they stand legally using the Marcos name?

Doesn't appear to exist outside of facebook.

Thankyou guys, that is interesting.

What i know;

There was a guy (Thanks Andy for putting me in touch with him) that has apparently bought the rights to build these cars, along with the moulds etc. I understood from talking to him that he was looking at the V6 mondeo engine, which ties in with the twin tailpipes. He emailed me a picture of "One of his Cars" that turned out to be a picture of my car, that i took outside my parents house!! -- We've since lost contact.

He mentioned about new designs and looking at doing something radical (as in crazy)with it, so this could very well be it.

http://www.viored.org/ makes an interesting read, with no address or contact details, just an online form. I suspect one of these guys is the owner of the car.

I have since been in touch with another guy that claimed to be the original designer and builder of my car, (though he never actually proved anything to me, other than a few old photos by email), however he was Leicestershire based so i dont think it is him. He mentioned a car under development, though when i asked to see a photo he declined, saying that an unfinished design should never be displayed etc etc.

It looks quite nice, though the missing rear quarters makes it look a little out of proportion IMO. An incentive to get mine painted. The rear spoiler in the photo is a fibreglass one, probably off the original bodywork like i had on mine once upon a time!!

Thanks again chaps.

I have to agree, the rear quarter windows on yours make the side profile look 'finished' mate.

Still nice to see some progress on what I think is a good looking shell, we need a locost bbq, bring your own beer spray prepping weekend :-)

I know you still have some silver paint lurking in the man cave & I have a decent sized compressor & a couple of spray guns :-)

Sounds like a plan for the summer!! Will the car fit in your back garden?
