Makes a refreshing change for a dutton to be registered as something else

If as the advert implies it's a ginetta chassis with dutton body panels then it's correct registered - if a bit of a strange choice. The one shot of chassis you can see certainly doesn't look like a dutton to me.

Moke might be the same trick, it looks only very approximately like any moke/moke-alike I've ever seen.

Legality of both hinges on whether any chassis mods were made during the build.

It could be legit. Someone may have taken a horrible ugly body off a potentially worthless Ginetta then carried out extensive mods to the chassis to get that lovely valuable Dutton bodywork to fit.

Legit?????? I question that as highly improbably. Brief description of a Ginetta G26 - "The G26 - A full four seater 2 door saloon with pop up headlights using the Cortina MK3/4/5 as the donor".

So how does a 4-seat saloon morph into an open 2-seater, and still retain legal reg status? Might be a useful source of bits, nothing more.

Yes, I think you might be right

OK- I missed the ironic tone of your post.
