Never heard of one of these. It makes some strong statements in the blurb.

Takes this biscuit of power to weight ratio. Especially after the post last week on overly poweful BEC turbos!!

pmc_3 - 20/5/13 at 10:11 PM

That's a lot of money! 2.3 turbo, wonder if its a tuned Saab lump

yellowcab - 20/5/13 at 10:13 PM

I love it!

NigeEss - 20/5/13 at 10:16 PM

300mph...yeh, right.

Wheels244 - 20/5/13 at 10:19 PM

I just can't see £47k there or anywhere near it to be honest.
If the figures are to be believed, it's fast but there are lot more cars I would spend that money on before buying one of those.

I didn't see that bit - yep that's BS alright

loggyboy - 20/5/13 at 10:26 PM

Being Swedish I guess the 300 is kmh, as is the 1.6 sec 0-60!

Wadders - 20/5/13 at 10:47 PM

bit lardy at 750kg

spiderman - 20/5/13 at 11:54 PM

Engine power (BHP): 700
Torque (lbs/ft): 700
Top speed (MPH): 300
Acceleration: 0 to 62 in 1.6 seconds.

A little bit of artistic licence in those figures me thinks.
I think if they were accurate we would all have heard of it before now.

redblock power....

ive posted about this car before , altho i did do the 2.3 redblock turbo first in the uk..

That pretty quick!

Like the 2nd clip, looks like he fluffed the start and still whipped his opponent's backside.

Furyous - 21/5/13 at 09:25 PM

If you read the blurb, it says the 1.6s 0-100k is on a dragstrip. With a sticky track and sticky tyres, that doesn't seem unreasonable. They say it's about 3 seconds with street tyres, which again sounds about right. Street Sevens never seem to be much better than 3 seconds to 60 regardless of how much power they make.

The top speed is definitely 300kph.

The numbers are impressive but the aero looks ridiculous.

morcus - 21/5/13 at 09:31 PM

I was just going to ask, does aero like that work on a seven?

Create down force? Yes
Make it slower? Yes

Unless they are badly designed they will offer good down force, or have the potential to if adjusted correctly.

What does not work very well on a se7en is little F1 inspired aero tweeks like winglets at the front and untested rear diffusers that start at the engine bay.

Just like mine! But Im not under any illusion it makes my car go faster. I just prefer the look of it that way.

perksy - 21/5/13 at 09:44 PM

Didn't Caterham stick a 7 in a wind tunnel and discover one of the best/easiest aerodynamic aids was to angle the front number plate on the bottom of the nosecone?

Think you could find better things to spend 47k on TBH, Nice Ultima or summat from Italy

mazie - 21/5/13 at 10:00 PM

all that money and the cycle wings aren't fitted evenly! :-)
