For all you Motorsport fans in the London area it is Motorsport at the Palace this weekend. Using part of the old GP circuit, Sevenoaks and District
MC are organising a 2 day sprint. I'm competing on both days, car No 70.

If you are passing come and say Hi.
you must spend an absolute fortune competing etc?
im limited to 1 event/trackday per month at the moment. around £400 per day incl travel/fuel nowadays
good luck mate!
Can't take it with you
no but gotta pay the mortgage
Hi great event was therein 2010 and back there on sunday with my t11 prototype..........
Cool, see you there.
@Daniel
My sprinting is way less to do then your RGB racing hence why I can afford to do so many in comparision.
i dont do rgb mate just open pitlane track days
OK....I still don't spend anything like £400 per event (in most cases). Entry fees are £70-£120 and most I can get to on the day for less than half a tank of diesel in the Jag (£40) so average £130 per event all up.
One of our Welsh Championship contenders is there in his electric '7' - it's interesting! Loads of batteries and cables, and a Type 9
gearbox!
He's an interesting bloke to talk to so if you get a chance wander over and take a look!
He's the one with the great big generator running all day to charge the batteries...!
Regards
Wyn
Looking good, weather-wise, for Sunday and Monday
38.08 Sunday....2nd in class
38.09 Monday....2nd in class
If I could stop locking the brakes I'd have gone a lot faster (the classic 'if only' in motorsport terms)
Had lots of chats with various people over the weekend (including Matt & David + Family) and David's delightful wife who sat in the passenger
seat up the course on the 'demo' run. I was speaking to the owner of MSAR about Hans devices on Saturday and said it was a shame he
hadn't bought any with him so I could try them out.....on Sunday he did and I splashed for one of the Hans adjustable.
Also spent a long time chatting to the new owner of Kit Car Magazine, Tom Saunders or Tombs, who had the idea for the Kitcar Village which didn't
quite come off (no manufactures). He says they will organise it earlier for next year and look to get SKCC on the stand as well as a number of
manufactures.
Great weekend as always and I hope everyone who turned up had a great time.
