Seeings as people on here know everything....
Standard VW/Audi type headlight level servo as adjusted using the little wheel on the dashboard to change height of light beam.
Servos have 3 wires... one presumes +ve -ve and signal.
Any clever folk know what the signal is likely to be?
If it works like a three cable RC servo then it would be a pulse width type signal..
Or.... it could be a resistive/varying voltage signal..
I ask because I am planning to retro-fit some modern VW lights onto an old car and it would be nice to make use of the level servo...
Thoughts?
This thread suggests it's nothing like the 1-2ms PWM scheme used for RC servos,
but sadly gives no other information.
Could open up the motor and see if you can get any details on the controller IC?
i would be interested in what signal they use, these would make great little servo motors for 'projects'.
Could you not use the originial VW switch?
