How Much!

These guys are asking £15k for an Alfasud Sprint!

OK, it's nice but can't be worth £15k

From the era when Alfa made cars that were as good to drive as they were to look at. Sadly the same era when their cars dissolved into brown dust at the first hint of moisture.

I wouldn't spend 15k on it, but it must be a pretty rare car these days.

I had a small engined Sud it was faster than a 1600 Mk2 Cortina and stopped better with its quad discs
It dissolved well before I could kill it
Wearied, light switches were on the dash, heater controls on a column stalk

I gave a good Sprint, of a similar age to the one in the ad away for free in the mid '90's. It needed some light restoration but was very solid and generally rust free. It was also a limited edition one so even rarer.

Wish I'd kept it.

I had a Sud 1.5ti green cloverleaf. I loved it but couldn't keep pace with the rot. The flat four had an Ansa exhaust and twin 45 downdraught webers and it used to really hand and was reasonably fast and I would have another if I won the lottery at those prices.

My first cars were Alfa Suds

My second one was a 1.5Ti

Just awesome handling. Would love another one but 15K no.
Still would rust in few years.
So unless it is used on dry days only and garaged you 15K will disappear very quick.

My second car was a 1.5ti as well! A W reg. red one. I got it in 84 at 4 years old and spent most of the year welding it!

Lovely car though.

They're also charging 40k for a 924, haven't laughed so hard in my life!

Its only worth £15k if someone is daft enough to pay that.

Mind you I've seen Mk2 Escorts from the same era selling for £40k+ so I'm sure someone probably will.

I'm impressed you knew how to weld at 4.
