Almost looks like a car!!
AndyW - 1/7/13 at 07:22 AM

Got the car out of the garage and into the sunshine yesterday. I was very tempted to have a quick blat up and down the road, but didn't want to risk it! Happy with how she looks, almost like a real car

Just the last bits of trim to add, and I have posted IVA forms today!!

Looks good.

Question?

Are the cycle wings the right ones?

They look to be too far forward, leaving a lot of room for stones and crud to be thrown up. I would rotate them back 6 inch.
Also, they seem to be a very big diameter compared to the wheels.

Looking good, nearly there.
Have to agree with designer about the cycle wings. They look completely wrong for the wheels and you will get pelted with rocks like that. Mine are a lot lower and even with mud flaps 2 inches from the floor I still get stones thrown at me. Have you checked the angle for the IVA too? Get some more pictures up from all angles so we can have a look.

Hard to tell from this angle but you might want to check the measurements on the front indicators located on the nose? - to be measured from the widest point of the car - in this case the rear wheel arches. they look a bit short?

Ian

I think the 'cover' angle for cycle wings is 30deg +&- in relation ro the vertical line from the wheel centre, so they can be turned back a lot.

on a completelty cosmetic note, I like the colour !

I like the colour too.

You might need to move the indicators on the front arches as they may not be visible from the rear with the wheels turned..

30degree to front and 50 degrees to rear, so they would almost certainly fail as they are.

I'm sure when I fitted the front wings they were the right degree as per manual, I will check.

As for the nose cone indicators, I have iva extensions to fit!

Pics of the wings later side on to show angle of fitting.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I find it amazing that just a quick glance by other people can spot these things, and I'm sure we have all had it where someone picks up on something, (although criticism never feels good, its for the best) so thanks again and I will be posting loads more pics soon for your critical eyes!!!

Thanks

Andy
