See a lot of cars advertised as euro 4 . Whilst i know this is all about emissions does it mean if its a diesel it has a dpf fitted ??
it just means it meets the euro 4 emission standard - its upto the manufacture how they do it...

most newer cars have them now
but 'cleaning' them out its a good excuse to put your foot down once in a while
(part of me thinks that bit misses the whole point of fitting them though....)

absoloutley!! my mondeo, tries to regen, but just ends in limp home mode, untill i thrash it for 20 miles at above 3.5k revs
each time, ive done that, it feels like a new car!!
