I've really enjoyed reading Allans books especially the narrative he gives in Race and Raly Source book on developing his own car and the Gould
Terrapin. I'm reading High Speed Low Cost now but was wondering if anyone knows of any other books which describe how people have garage
engineered things. I find this sort of stuff really interesting.
Cheers
Allan Staniforth seems to write a good book, I've only read Competition car Suspension by him, and felt like I ought to be building in model form
what he was describing...felt almost like being in a classroom again. With a very good teacher I might add.
Books that describe building stuff in a shed, I can think of one 'The Flying Flea', by a Frenchman back in the twenties IIRC, and all about
designing and building your own aircraft from scratch. Great read if a bit scary looking through more modern eyes.
