Finally got round to sorting out the grand daughters punto head gasket.

Found the head had only one locating dowel, and the end without one, was about 1mm off looking at the gasket indentations, and the fire ring had let go at that point.

I've spun up another dowel, but, reading the manual, it says 'position the head gasket ......... on the locating dowel'
now I would expect it to say dowels, i.e. one at each end at opposite corners.

So I'm hoping I'm right and this is a typo in the manual?

Can anyone help me confirm? as I can't see any way of locating a cylinder head properly on one dowel....

There should be 2 dowels. Always has been on the thousand or so I've done anyway.
