Ive been given a mk1 3 door 1.8 focus in good working order high miles broken front bumper thats it
Im after a cheap trackday car got about £300 to spend do i sell the focus and buy somthing thats more track ready or spend the money on the focus
getting track bits do you think its ok for track use or is it to undet powered
I would say clean the focus up and sell it on and put profit and £300 towards something small like a saxo, have seen track ready cars go for about £600 where someone has already spent the money on track essentials, only issue is do you want it to be road legal or trailered?
+1 to that. Focus could be ok, but for the money you could get more fun from a smaller hatch, saxo/106.
At the end though its your choice
Have FUN whatever you do, that is the main reason we do these things.

As above. Friend just bought a superb Saxo VTS with cammed engine etc already for £600.
Other option is but a Clio 172 for a grand?
yes i though that maybe i think i will stick the focus on ebay if it sells or somone offers me a swap then all good if i cant sell it i will use it
I wouldn't discount the focus. They are good handling cars. Strip it to the bare bones, stick some decent brake pads in and go enjoy it. When you get bored get a cheap st170 lump to go a bit quicker.
