Old Car ID
liam.mccaffrey - 4/11/13 at 10:42 AM

I found this old pic in with my Grand fathers stuff. I think I know what the vessel is but there is some dispute over the ID on the car/van.
Mammoet
Mammoet

I think the logo is Mammoet heavy lifting

Mk1 escort surely?

pewe - 4/11/13 at 10:49 AM

Looks like a Mk1 Ford Escort to me.
Ask me how I know... affectionately known as sh*t brown, but it did go once wound up (relatively speaking).
Cheers, Pewe10

Ford escort mk1, maybe the estate version. Have you seen the face looking out between the open door, spooky.

Defo mk1, mk2 was much more angular.

slingshot2000 - 4/11/13 at 10:54 AM

Something about the rear/side window and chrome trim along the roof-line, makes me thing it is an MK1 Escort Estate.

Regards
Jon

(edited to add);
Also, MK1 and MK2 Estates were identical from the doors back over. Wings, bonnet, front panel and grill were about the only things changed on the MK2 Estate.
