Recommend me a Compressor (small, tyre one)
loggyboy - 25/11/13 at 01:51 PM

After a new compressor as when on my trackday the cheapo one I had didnt seem to want to puff to 30psi without spending 10mins doing it.
Not silly money - £20-30 maybe? Any good quality unbranded bargains out there, or is best to just by a branded halfrauds/eurocar parts job and have done with it?

Get a second hand OEM one off eBay for a Citroen, Renault Peugeot etc.

These seem to be much better quality than the cheap ones.

I remember the Halfords one got a decent review in that car mechanics magazine thingy...

Just bought a Ring one from this review : http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/44563/ring-rac630 - less than £20 from Amazon just now

I've got one of those, and it does work quite nicely.

Cant seem to get it for that price? Still, at the circa £25 i can find it for seems a good price.

Years ago I bought a cheap carry in the car Electric tire inflator "Campbel Hausefield" labeled (chineee made though)
for $10 It has worked perfectly. Recently bought another exactly the same except the plastic case is blue rather than beige....$15 as the new current price.
Hunt around ! as lesser models can be/are priced at triple that.
Clearly a Caveat Emptor situation.
