£650 to spend, but on what - suggestions?
MikeR - 13/12/13 at 12:04 AM

ok, long story but for my 40th I've ended up with £650 to spend on me. I've got a garage that you can't swing a cat in so my first idea of a lathe is out. id like something that will last & that isn't an ornament. Any ideas? I don't wear a watch btw.

Get your self a little Myford super/speed 10 and you will have the use of a small lathe and you could still get your cash back in ten years time.

Is it an LG Smart TV? If so he'd better be careful what he watches...

How about a roller cabinet and top box - picked an industrial one up from Halfords last night £350 for both on offer, but I get discount through work so cost me £305 - RRP is £610 for the pair!

telly etc doesnt appeal. thats for the family to buy. i wanted something to last which is why a lathe is ideal. just have litterally no space. cant afford to really add to tbe pot (which rules out the tig unfortunately).

Gutted for you. They were on offer on monday. £250 for the bottom roller cab and then get the intermediate and top boxes free. and if you got it between 12 and 3pm you get 10%off too.
