Hi all, I need to make some body mounts like this on my Suzuki sj chassis but slightly taller



I only have access to flat sheet metal and a welder can anyone think of a strong way/ design to make them?

Depending on the size needed I would be tempted to use some thick walled box section. Maybe a fillet (is that the right word?) either side for added strength.

Simple 4 sided box section. Do u need to access the underside of the top?

Agree with box, weld a plate on top and drill tap or weld captive nut to underside of plate before welding onto top hole - but I'd cut so you have a bit of overhang down side of chassis rail.
