Anyone know company to replace engine in Audi a3
INDY BIRD - 8/3/14 at 05:46 PM

Hi all

My fiiend has and Audi a3 1.6 petrol 2006

And he took it to Audi who told him his engine needs replacing they quoted silly prices,

So does anyone know or reccomend someone who can supply and fit a replacement engine etc,

Or failing that he may want to sell the car as is to someone who wants it and take on the task and prob make a few pennies from it?

If you know of any let me know please or interested in possibly buying the car I will post up details etc, its a 1 owner car from new,

Cheers
Sean

Ivor Searle in Soham might be worth a phone call. I've used engines from them for years although I've always fitted them myself

A seven year old car requires a new engine? I would guess cam belt snap but he wouldn't be able to 'take it' to Audi?

Perhaps a second opinion might be the first step?

No the head is porous and he has crack in the wet liner, low compression on no 1 cylinder,

Car only done 70 k so I think he will look to see if he can sell on cheap for some one to poss make some money on,

Cheers

As you know that the mobile phone signal jammer can cut off the signals of the mobile phones and soon make it impossible to make phone calls or send messages. In this way when you need the peaceful condition and want to stay in it, you can just use the best mobile phone jammer to help you achieve your goal. And now as the technology develops with high speed the advanced 4G jammer has come into the market and are well welcomed by the group of people who need the cell phone signal blocker device product.

Engines must be easy enough to come by, there are loads of vw/Audi/seat things out there. Have a search on fleabag, plenty of breakers will also fit engines. In fact a few years ago I was using a local breaker who was well priced, used new stuff if you asked, and knew how to fix the cars unlike main stealer technicians. Plus cash helps....

Other alternative is bung it in the auction etc.

This is a forum of people who build kit cars, cars from scratch, and everything in between!
An engine swap in an Audi should be the basics, no?

I've got a 1999 A4 tdi, and so far everything I've done to it has been so easy. I wouldn't be afraid of doing it myself tbh
The whole front of the car sort of unbolts and unclips I'm told, giving real good access to the engine making the job fairly straight forward
