Nice weather, so keen to get the bike on the road.
Clean forgot though that if I buy tax today (26th), then I effectively lose a whole month!
Surely to goodness we can have a date specific 'from-to' system in this day and age! It's not hard to calculate 6 months ahead froma
specific day!
I hoped this would happen with the change to not needing tax discs and monthly direct debits due in Oct.
I have read that road tax is going to be non transferable from one owner to another ie when you sell.

Yep, archaic system and a complete rip off, the erratic weather doesn't help, as you never know which 6 month block to choose, i bite the bullet
and tax the TVR for 12 months now £220 and it only does about 1000 miles a year.
Now its electronic you should be able to pay per use, or at least tax on a monthly basis.
Or scrap the entire system and put it on fuel duty!?

Yep, that's why I'm waiting until 1st April now to tax the Westy.
"Or scrap the entire system and put it on fuel duty!? "
I would vote for this, and surely its the most effective way of claiming money back, and stops the Tax disc dodgers

^^^^^ Wot he said^^.
how can a toy car that does 2000miles a year be as polluting as a small engine car that does 40000 a year.

i think the main argument against this will come from the haulage industry and small businesses which are struggling already with the price of
fuel.
