Wifey needs a new car, she currently runs a 03 plate civic type r (EP3) but wants something quicker and more comfortable on long runs.

Atm she is set upon a BMW 645 or 650 around the 04-06 era.

Review seem to be good, bar the cost of new tyres.

Has anyone got any real world experience of them?

i have driven a 645 used to borrow the bosses all the time back in the day when they were new. they are lovely to drive as a cruiser and also pretty rapid the engine was an absolute peach. suspension is a little soft for my liking but still held on well and felt confident if i pushed it. as you said already it has immense potential to chew through rear tyres but thats typical for high power rwd cars the world over. the biggest problem is fuel economy. its generally ok but the engine makes such a nice noise you just want to keep driving it hard :-)
