Try Rail Alarm for the PC, you can also get it on Android and on IOS

I've been using it now for over 2 years now.

I got my dad to get some plates made up on wednesday afternoon- finished work at 8.30 (it was the longest day in the world!) got home chucked my plates on and was straight out. It started spitting just as I left work but I couldnt resist....

Drove it to work y'day. Every 5 minutes some comedian would run over and tell me it was raining, but luckily it stayed away all day!

Im
at the moment (just to rub it in(.

Mark.

Mark ^^ if you haven't already just check your insurance covers you for commuting - a lot of kitcar policies don't.
Enjoy the drives but bear in mind rear wheel drive doesn't like you lifting off if the back end starts to go, partic. if it's wet..... ask me how I know.
Cheers, Pewe10

I start a new job on Monday, and after 15 years of train commuting, I now have a 8 mile drive. My insurance with AF was up for renewal so I asked mainly for comedy value how much it would be to add commuting to the policy. The answer was £0 I won't be taking the Fury on the first day, but I'll certainly be eating into my limited milage commuting at some point.

Out of interest, how long did it take to receive your plates after sending the application (v55/5)? On Tuesday, I will be on working day 15.

Cheers, Steve

If your on day 15 you should phone them. They loose a lot of the applications (based on how many people on here say they have had a problem), so you should verify that they know where yours is. It ended up taking a month for mine to come through and that was with chasing every other day after the first 2 weeks.

In brief, they had lost my application, found it again and then gave me a higher priority because I kept phoning them.

On the plus side, they did give me an extra month on the tax disc for my trouble.

serieslandy - 28/6/14 at 12:33 PM

I phoned on Tuesday (day10) and eventually they found the application. Apparently it had been started on the 17th (Day 5) but they hadn't finished it yet. I've been on holiday this week so I couldn't see if it had turned up but I will be ringing on Monday to chase it up again.

rash12 - 28/6/14 at 05:01 PM

mine took from the 27th may until the 24th june for the log book and tax disc to arrive

leon51274 - 28/6/14 at 06:53 PM

12 working days for my tax disc and v5 to arrive, probably would of been sooner if yours truly hadn't written the tax disc cheque out wrong!
