Morning all does anyone out there know the best way to import an engine from japan ? i need a low mileage toyota 3sge from a MR2 or celica .....thanks gordon
Never done it, but I would guess import the whole car, if its in good condition, and you have the time space and money, you could strip the rest for parts, and probably end up with the engine free
Don't know if it's still the case but at one time there were several companies importing Japanese engines, Jap engines for one . There used to be loads advertising in the Exchange and Mart . Haven't seen an E and M for quite a while . Due to Japanese regulations cars tend to get scrapped at a very low age , 4AGE engines may be a bit old u
I think the vast majority of jap cars get exported after just a few years ( something to do with car tax increasing with car age IIRC) and end up in
Oz, NZ and all the other countries "nearby"
