coozer - 28/10/14 at 08:09 PM

I can't figure out how they do anything, there never anyone there, arches doors are always shut!

kj - 28/10/14 at 08:15 PM

They need someone from the north east or lcb to get the work done.

My fury was too low for rollers so they used a "pendulum inertia inclinometer" that was put in the foot well and the brake test was done with that. Stamp on the brakes/handbrake at twent mph, pendulum swings under inertia and clocks the max swing, the better the brakes, the greater the inertia, the higher the swing. Old school easy.

TVs are one of the few things in life that you buy and not even ever plug it in yet you still have to pay for the privilage of having it every year its in your house, incase you want to use it!!!

I had my brakes tested using a pendulum inclinometer at my last MOT, I swear it was only cause the MOT guy wanted a go (err the rollers are broken so...)! But given that they are always fairly pragmatic I'd have let him have a go, if he'd asked!!

There's also the old ticker-tape tester, and then there also seems to be the "just give it a play in the carpark" test. All of which pass my non-roller car (perm 4wd).
