As title pinto 1.2 sporting new leads plugs no fault code but idle up and down sometimes between 1100 _ 900

Assuming that you mean Punto and not pinto I would be checking for air leaks or cracks around the inlet manifold.

If no vacuum leaks try cleaning the throttle body and idle speed control valve with carb cleaner. Any attempt to slow the idle speed by adjupsting the idle screw will usually make things worse.

Not sure if the 1.2 sporting is the same as the 8V but the wife's one does the same. I believe it is the idle valve sticking in the throttle body. The problem is they are pressed into the body so are not easy to remove. I cleaned it and it was fine for a couple of months and then started doing it again.
